At level 40, you have 40*2 = 80 attribute points (plus the ones from quests you automatically completed). Do not put them all into Strength if you are a caster.

Join a multiplayer game where another player is in Act 1. Have them open a portal for you at the Helos waypoint. Once you step through, the waypoint will be added to your map, and you can travel there in single-player mode. At level 40, you have 40*2 = 80
