In the mid-2000s, feature phones from Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, and LG dominated the market. Unlike today’s iOS and Android devices, these phones ran on proprietary operating systems but supported Java applications via (formerly J2ME). The most common screen size for mid-range and high-end feature phones was 240x320 pixels. Examples include:
