Children absorb 90% of their habits from observation, not instruction. If you shout at your child for shouting, you have taught them hypocrisy. Allah describes the Prophet as "Usawatun Hasanah" (a beautiful pattern of conduct) (Quran 33:21). Parents must be that pattern for their children.
