Mrs. Bixby has been having an affair with a Colonel, who gives her an expensive mink coat as a parting gift. To explain the coat to her husband, Cyril, she pawns it and tells him she "found" a pawn ticket. She expects him to retrieve the coat for her. Instead, Cyril brings home a small neckpiece, claiming it was the pawned item.
