Map a short drum loop to a key. Set the playback mode to "Hold" and to "On." When you press the key, it plays the loop; when you release it, it stops instantly. You can now "drum" the rhythm of the loop by tapping the key.

The host needs ad-lib comedy drops (applause, sad trombone, "rimshot") without taking hands off the mic fader. Solution: The producer maps 20 drops to the number pad. Key NumPad 1 = Applause. NumPad 2 = Boo. NumPad 3 = Explosion. Because the latency is sub-10ms, the cue hits right after the punchline. Soundplant
