A Mikrotik router (any model, but we recommend the popular RB750 or RB251 devices) A computer or laptop with a web browser (preferably Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox) A network cable (RJ-45) for connecting your computer to the router Your internet service provider's (ISP) details, including your username, password, and connection type (e.g., PPPoE, DHCP, or Static IP)

Step 1: Connect to the Router

Connect your computer to the Mikrotik router using a network cable. Plug one end into your computer's Ethernet port and the other end into one of the router's LAN ports (usually labeled as "LAN1," "LAN2," etc.). Step 2: Access the Router's Web Interface

Open your web browser and type the router's default IP address: 192.168.1.1 (or 192.168.0.1 for some models). Press Enter. You will be presented with a login screen. The default username is admin , and the password is blank (leave it empty). Click the "Login" button.

Once logged in, navigate to the "System" menu and click on "Settings." Change the router's IP address to a static IP address on the same subnet as your computer. For example, you can set it to 192.168.1.100 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 . Click "Apply" and then "OK." Next, go to the "System" menu and click on "Packages."
