Hinari (Health InterNetwork Access to Research Initiative) is a program by WHO and major publishers providing free or low-cost access to biomedical and health literature for eligible institutions in low- and middle-income countries.
Once you have your institution’s credentials, the login process is straightforward, though the interface has evolved over the years.
If your institution is eligible but not yet registered, the head of your institution (e.g., the Librarian, Dean, or IT Director) must apply. They must sign an official license agreement with the WHO. Once this agreement is processed, the institution receives a unique username and password.
