The book was written in response to a request from Radhi al-Din al-Wasiti , a Shafi’i judge from Wasit, Iraq.

The text clarifies the correct belief regarding the Shafa'ah (Intercession). It affirms that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the owner of the Major Intercession, but that intercession belongs entirely to Allah, and no one can intercede except by His permission.
