The authentic utilizes a custom-weave nylon. Unlike standard 1000D Cordura (which can be too stiff and abrasive on clothing), the Lena Paul pack uses a 300D to 500D ripstop nylon with a polyurethane coating. This provides a "floppy" yet tear-resistant body. The material allows the pack to flatten when empty but expand like an accordion when stuffed to capacity.
