Windows 10/11 includes generic drivers for many components, but the AMD GPIO Controller requires a specific driver. When Windows boots, ACPI tells the OS, "There is a GPIO controller at address AMDI0051." If the AMD Chipset Driver is missing or corrupted, Windows shrugs and logs error 0 (Device not started).
While not a "feature" you interact with directly, the driver is essential for laptop ergonomics. If your Airplane Mode key isn't working or you have an annoying yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager, installing this specific driver is the mandatory solution. acpi amdi0051 0
