They have no heads; instead, their torsos are covered in hundreds of blinking eyes that weep a viscous amber fluid. The Vulgate are not hostile in the traditional sense. They are tidiers . If you do not belong in the Yard, they will systematically delete your mass, one subatomic particle at a time, until you are a two-dimensional shadow adhered to the Glass Ossuary.
