Joker 1 __exclusive__
The Joker interrupts a radio broadcast. He announces that wealthy Henry Claridge will die at 11:00 PM sharp. He jokes that the police should bring their knitting needles. When Claridge locks himself in a vault, the Joker slips a knife through a breathing hole. The victim dies with a smile.
The 1970s and 1980s saw a significant shift in the Joker's characterization, thanks in large part to the influential comic book series "The Dark Knight Returns" (1986) by Frank Miller. Miller's Joker was a nihilistic force of chaos, devoid of motivation or rational thought, existing solely to wreak havoc on Batman and society. joker 1
