While the Innies plot revolution, the Outie world reveals its most disturbing layer. Mark’s sister, Devon (Jen Tullock), and her husband Ricken (Michael Chernus) host a "dinner party" for the book launch. The scene is intentionally awkward, full of pretentious pseudo-intellectuals, but it serves a critical narrative purpose.

The centerpiece of "Hide and Seek" is Helly’s journey. Throughout the season, Helly has been the rebel, the fighter, the one who screams that she does not belong in Lumon.
