Two of the most common—yet misunderstood—file extensions you will encounter are (Measurement File 4) and BLF (Binary Logging Format).
MF4 supports high-precision timestamps (nanoseconds). BLF typically uses microseconds. Rounding can occur. For short logs (<1 second), this is irrelevant. For 24-hour fleet logs, accumulated jitter may misalign events.
