JTAG (Joint Test Action Group) is a standard hardware interface used for debugging and testing printed circuit boards. On the Xbox 360, a JTAG hack—exploiting a vulnerability in the bootloader of early dashboard versions (pre-2.0.7371)—allowed users to bypass Microsoft’s cryptographic signature checks.
