The series follows Ash (Satoshi in Japanese), a 10-year-old from Pallet Town, who receives a stubborn but powerful Pikachu. His goal is to compete in the Pokemon League Conference held at the Indigo Plateau. Along the way, he befriends Misty (Kasumi) and Brock (Takeshi), while constantly thwarting the plans of Team Rocket (Jessie, James, and Meowth).
