The is essentially a pre-packaged Windows environment. Without it, Winlator has no operating system to emulate. Think of the APK as the engine and the OBB as the chassis and wheels.

Disclaimer: Winlator is an experimental emulator. Not all Windows games will run, and performance varies by device. Always download from official GitHub sources to avoid malware.

⚠️ If a website offers a 200 MB OBB file for v1.1, it is fake. The legitimate cache is over 1 GB because it contains a full Wine prefix and system libraries.

Place your PC game folders in your Android device's folder. Inside Winlator, this folder is mapped as the D: drive .
