She asks him to stop lying. His inability to do so—to admit that he loves the violence more than he loves her—is the true ending of their romance.

Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) returns in the final act, manipulating the chaos from his jail cell. His speech to Matt in the diner, where he whispers threats about Karen and Foggy, is one of the most terrifying scenes in the MCU.
