Nobita’s Dinosaur follows the unlucky fourth-grader Nobita Nobi, who, after being mocked by his classmates Gian and Suneo about his poor grades and athletic ability, boasts that he will find a real dinosaur fossil. With the help of his robotic cat from the 22nd century, Doraemon, Nobita unearths a fossilized egg and uses a “time blanket” to hatch it. Out comes a baby Futabasaurus (a type of plesiosaur), whom Nobita names Piisuke. The plot relies more on willpower than clever tools
