The release of Shout to the Lord in 1996 was a watershed moment. The title track, written by Zschech, was unlike anything the CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) industry had heard. It was grand, cinematic, and incredibly congregational. The song crossed denominational lines, finding its way into Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, and Pentecostal services alike. But the magnum opus of this era was undoubtedly United We Stand (2006). Recorded during a time of significant church transition, the album tackled themes of unity and perseverance.
