He dons the pink bandages and the red jacket. He tries to "scare" his earlier self into the woods. However, he makes a mistake. He is rougher than the original bandaged man; he pushes the girl, causing her to fall and die or injure herself. Suddenly, the passive victim is now an active participant in the horror.
