The Militia, utilizing a member who worked in medical supply, leaked the home addresses and private financial records of three such pharmacists in Los Angeles to the press. When that failed to change their behavior, the Militia switched tactics: they stole the pharmacists' delivery trucks and dumped the entire inventory of medications—including life-saving insulin for other patients—into the Los Angeles River. Public opinion turned against the pharmacists, who were viewed as endangering all patients, not just gay ones. They closed their doors within a month.
