Based loosely on the Buddhist tale of , the story follows a brutal serial killer named Angulimala (played by Rajkumar Pitchumani) who abducts women and keeps their heads as trophies. When he kidnaps a radio jockey named Dahini (Aditi Rao Hydari), she challenges him by claiming that her visually impaired boyfriend, Gautham (Udhayanidhi Stalin), will find and stop him.
Gautham finds Daksha, alive but traumatized, in a soundproofed cell. As dawn breaks (Day 7), he carries her out just as the bunker explodes, killing the wounded Psycho.
