Light output is only as good as its distribution. The Labcraft FX9XT features Labcraft’s specially designed optic lenses. Rather than just shining light in a straight line, the lens is engineered to refract light at specific angles. This eliminates "hot spots" (areas of intense glare) and ensures an even spread of light across the workspace, reducing eye strain for the operator.

As a fluorescent unit, it provides a softer, "warmer" light compared to modern LEDs, which some users prefer for a less clinical feel. However, it is significantly less efficient than current models.

Traditional pipettes use a brute-force mechanical ejector. The FX9XT uses a sensor-driven ejection system. It detects resistance on the tip cone. If a tip is stuck, it doesn't force it; instead, it vibrates at a micro-frequency (15,000 Hz) to break the vacuum seal before ejecting. This prevents the dreaded "tip blowback" where aerosols contaminate the shaft.
