Lucas P3d Editor ((better)) – Trusted
The Lucas P3D Editor includes a built-in UV editor that, while not as powerful as dedicated texturing software, is perfectly adequate for basic unwrapping, planar mapping, and texture scaling. It shines when you need to quickly adjust a texture offset without leaving the editor.
For its intended purpose (modding old P3D-based games), it’s invaluable — a 5/5 tool. For anyone else, it’s a 1/5. Recommendation: Use only if you specifically need to edit P3D models. For serious 3D work, convert the model to a standard format (using Lucas P3D Editor + external converters), edit in Blender, then convert back.
files, which are the proprietary 3D asset containers for games developed on the Pure3D engine
For years, games utilizing the P3D format were notoriously difficult to modify. Without an official Software Development Kit (SDK) released by the developers, the community was left in the dark. The file structure was binary and undocumented.
For users who only need to convert or tweak P3D files, the Lucas P3D Editor is faster and less frustrating than configuring Blender’s export scripts, which often break after updates.
