In Aslan society, the male is responsible for territory and combat, while the female is responsible for technology, trade, and organization. However, these roles are not based on oppression but on the sharp sexual dimorphism of the species. A male Aslan who cannot hold land is an outcast; a female Aslan who cannot manage a clan’s economics brings ruin.
Militant centaur-like herbivores who view all meat-eaters as a threat to be eradicated. They travel in massive herds and their ships are designed to accommodate large groups.
Often summarized incorrectly as "cat people," the Aslan are perhaps the most distinct alien culture in the setting. A PDF sourcebook on the Aslan reveals a society built on a biological imperative that transcends gender as humans understand it.
