We are moving from an era of ("We will let you exist quietly") to an era of liberation ("Your existence makes us all freer"). As non-binary identities become more common, the very foundation of the gay/lesbian binary is softening. The next generation of LGBTQ youth doesn't see a hard line between being gay and being trans; they see a spectrum of human experience.
