Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the moment the Wizarding World stopped looking like a storybook and started looking like a memory. It is a film about the fear of growing up, the complexity of friendship, and the radical act of choosing compassion over hatred.
While Williams composed all three of the first films, his work on Azkaban is arguably his most complex. He introduced "Double Trouble" (the choir piece for the Frog Choir) but more importantly, he gave us "A Window to the Past." That haunting, lonely flute melody is the sound of Harry’s isolation.
