When buying a USB controller for a Mac today, do not search for "driver." Search for "Mac mode" or "Switch mode." If the controller has a physical switch for "Xinput/Dinput/Switch," set it to Switch . macOS will recognize Switch Pro controllers natively via USB without any driver.
