Mark is kidnapped by Angstrom Levy (Sterling K. Brown), a new villain with the power to travel between dimensions. Angstrom is a tragic antagonist. In Season 2’s early episodes, we see him as a benevolent scientist trying to save his world, only to have his mind fractured by an explosion caused by (a hallucinating) Omni-Man. He blames Invincible for his disfigurement, and he will stop at nothing to ruin Mark’s life.
The wait for was long and filled with anticipation. Now that the season has aired, it is clear that the series did not succumb to the dreaded "sophomore slump."
