Carbon composition resistors drift high over 50+ years. Check resistors around the 12AX7 plates (100k ohm). If they have drifted over 110k, replace them with metal film resistors for lower noise.

Replace all electrolytic capacitors in the power supply. Use 105°C rated caps. Do not "re-stuff" old cans unless you are a museum curator; it is safer to install terminal strips with fresh radial caps underneath the chassis. admiral 111-07
