The feeding of the 5,000, rising opposition, and Jesus’ growing awareness of his fate. Strengths: Emotionally devastating. The “Walking on Water” episode is visually and thematically stunning. Jonathan Roumie’s Jesus shows exhaustion, tenderness, and divine authority in equal measure. Weakness: The Judas introduction is effective but could be more ambiguous. Best episode: Episode 5 (“Clean” – Part 2 of the feeding miracle).
Essential viewing, regardless of your beliefs. Come for the Jesus, stay for the disciples.
