Fight across 12 unique locations from the films, such as the Jade Palace and the Valley of Peace, featuring environmental hazards.

. The "CODEX" tag in the title refers to the release by the prominent Warez scene group CODEX

Before diving into gameplay, we must address the keyword itself. In the warez scene, CODEX was one of the most respected PC cracking groups, active from 2014 until their retirement in 2021. When they released Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends , they were applying their signature technical finesse to a niche title.

The combat system is accessible but surprisingly deep. Players can utilize light and heavy attacks, grapples, and environmental objects. Each character feels distinct, adhering to their on-screen fighting styles. Po is a heavy hitter with defensive capabilities, Tigress relies on speed and ferocity, and Monkey uses agility and misdirection.

The CODEX version shines in offline multiplayer. With no Denuvo to bog down the CPU, the game runs at a locked 60 FPS even on integrated graphics (Intel HD 4400 tested).

: Most matches are won by being the last player standing (Lives mode) or having the most knock-outs (Timed mode) [9].
