The Balarama Amar Chitra Katha PDF narrates the life story of Balarama, from his birth to his later years. The comic book begins with the story of King Vasudeva, who is overjoyed to have a son, Krishna. However, his wife, Devaki, is troubled by a prophecy that her eighth child will be the cause of her death. Fearing for the child's safety, Vasudeva and Devaki entrust their firstborn, Balarama, to the care of Nanda and Yashoda, the foster parents of Krishna.
