The plot kicks off when Lilly loses her job on the same day her long-distance boyfriend ghosts her. Trapped inside her apartment due to a worsening pandemic, she begins a video diary. However, the diary quickly morphs into something darker. The "Lilly in the mirror" begins to answer back, offering advice that is initially supportive but eventually becomes manipulative, cruel, and paranoid.
