The trio of hunters—the heir of Gondor, the Elven prince, and the Dwarf warrior—chases the Uruk-hai across the plains of Rohan to rescue Merry and Pippin. This storyline leads them into the heart of , a kingdom of horse-lords fallen under the spell of the treacherous advisor Gríma Wormtongue. Their journey introduces us to Éomer and the exiles of Rohan, culminating in the breathtaking charge at the Battle of the Hornburg (Helm’s Deep).
