Replica Std Font
Dimitri Bruni designed Replica to fill a void. He wanted a font that worked well on screen (which was becoming increasingly important in the late 90s) and in print. The goal was to create a font that was "invisible" in the best possible way—it shouldn't distract the reader from the content.
Replica Std features the "single-story" lowercase 'a'—a hallmark of geometric sans-serifs. This makes it highly legible at small sizes. The lowercase 'g' is also a single-story design (unlike the double-story 'g' found in Times New Roman or classic Garamonds). This simplified geometry contributes to the font's clean, modern aesthetic. replica std font
