Picking up where the first film ended, Fifty Shades Darker finds Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) trying to move on from Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan). She has started a new job at Seattle’s independent publishing house, SIP, under the demanding Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson). But Christian, unable to let her go, pursues her with grand gestures—buying the publishing house, sending flowers, and finally convincing her to give their relationship another chance.
