Do not attempt to unlock a gateway that is currently leased. Most carriers (like T-Mobile) do not sell these devices outright. If you stop paying your internet bill, the IMEI is blacklisted. Unlocking a blacklisted IMEI is impossible because the lock is on the carrier network, not the device.
