It would be disingenuous to claim that every 5FDP listener needs FLAC. The band is a product of the "loudness war"—their albums, particularly Got Your Six (2015), are notoriously brick-walled, meaning the dynamic range is already compressed at the mastering stage. In such cases, even a FLAC file of a poorly mastered album cannot restore dynamics that were never there.
