Al-Hamdānī’s al-Iklīl (10 volumes originally) covers Yemeni kings, legends, and pre-Islamic history. Kitāb al-Ansāb is more strictly genealogical. Scholars sometimes confuse them because al-Hamdānī cross-references between the two, and later copyists merged parts. However: ktab alansab alhmdany
