Before installing, understand that Windows has strict limitations on raw packet injection and monitor mode:
If you see a list of BSSIDs (router MACs), channels, encryption types, and signal strengths – congratulations! You have successfully installed and configured Aircrack-ng on your Windows 10 machine (via a VM or WSL).
Microsoft’s WSL 2 allows you to run a real Linux kernel inside Windows 10. This is the cleanest modern method, but it has a caveat: (as of Windows 10 22H2). You can use it for offline cracking (handshake files) and learning the commands, but not for live packet capture.
